Harrisburg, PA
I'm Mary Kate, lover of sunsets and I will always slow down if the light is good enough. I'm deeply sentimental: I keep cards, reread old messages, and love looking through photographs. I care about the quiet parts of life just as much as the big ones.
I'm happiest when I'm with horses, or doing embroidery, and I love spending time outside. Those slow moments bring me so much peace.
I'm drawn to beauty that feels timeless and sincere -- early mornings, golden hours, old churches, the smell of incense... little things like these stick with me throughout my day. I'm someone who notices details, cherishes connection, and believes life is better when you simply slow down.
I love wedding days. After all, they're full of the same little moments I notice and cherish in every day life: the quiet smiles, the fleeting glances, the tiny details that make a day truly yours. There's something magical about being part of a day that's joyful, meaningful, and full of love, and it never gets old seeing two people commit their lives to each other surrounded by family and faith.
I also love capturing memories that last. Photographs let people pause time, look back decades later, and remember exactly how their day felt. Being trusted to preserve those moments is both humbling and rewarding. It's a way to honor not just a wedding day, but the love and life it celebrates.
If you're planning a Catholic wedding and want your day captured with care and intention, I would love to be part of it. Take a look at my Catholic wedding photography services to see how I preserve the beauty, faith, and joy of these special days.
St. Therese, The Little Flower
When I was 13 years old, I spent a week of my summer vacation with my aunt and uncle in New York. While I was there, my Aunt Terry introduced me to St. Therese of Lisieux and how she lived a life of humility and love. She told me that St. Therese felt as though she was called to a "smaller" life than the other saints and considered herself to be a "little flower" in God's great garden. At that same time of the trip, I was contemplating which saint to pick for my Confirmation. After learning about her and knowing that's who my aunt is named after, I knew that I wanted St. Therese to be my confirmation name.
When she moved back to PA, I was able to spend even more time with my aunt, and she showed me just how much she followed St. Therese's "Little Way". We spent a lot of time going to Mass together, looking through art, going on walks, and through all of that, I truly saw my aunt do everything with love. She passed away in 2021, and though we miss her so much, we're grateful for all the time we spent with her and all the works of love she showed us.
My aunt was one of my biggest photography supporters. She always asked me about my shoots and wanted to look through my pictures with me. I desire to show that same love and devotion my aunt showed me, to all my clients. My aunt loved through smaller acts, always thinking of others. She humbly considered herself "God's Littlest Flower." I strive to do the same.
In honor of my aunt, I introduce to you: Littlest Flower Photography.
