The Days
There’s something intimate about weaving your family throughout your wedding day: inviting them to share their God-given gifts on such a sacred occasion. In doing so, you create the space for the people you love to give of themselves too.
For Pete and Elyse, this took shape in so many beautiful ways. As Elyse’s sister, I had the joy of documenting their day through my camera, while her brother was the main celebrant of their wedding Mass assisted by Pete’s nephews as altar servers. Pete’s sisters offered their musical gifts during the liturgy, and one of them even baked their wedding cake! Each contribution was an offering of love, making the day feel all the more personal. That spirit of togetherness didn’t end when the wedding Mass was over.
When it came time to celebrate, Pete and Elyse their dance floor in a way that felt entirely fitting or the family they had gathered around them: by inviting all 30 of their nieces and nephews to join them.
From the gifts offered on the altar, to the 30 little feet on the dance floor, their Catholic wedding was a reminder that marriage doesn’t happen in isolation. It is a vocation embraced by two people, and one that is celebrated by the family surrounding them.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring their day to life!
